Lizzi Trumbore is a jazz vocalist and composer with a singular artistic and improvisation style that is all her own. She is praised for her rhythmic drive, breezy and emotive voice, and genuine lyric delivery. She draws influence from contemporary and Brazilian jazz, folk, punk, and pop music, and loves to explore musical roads that are often less traveled. She infuses inventive and catchy melodies, lush harmonies, introspective lyrics, and genre-bending grooves to create a refreshing spin on both the pop and jazz idioms.
As a published songwriter and arranger, her original compositions have been performed by collegiate and professional vocal groups throughout the country and at the JEN (The Jazz Education Network) and ACDA (American Choral Director’s Association) conferences. Her songs have been described as “world class,” “sincere and intelligently crafted,” and “full of beautiful surprises.” Progressive jazz publication NEXTBOP has described Lizzi’s debut album “Lifelines” as “a stunning and deeply refined overture to what we can only assume will be a long and fruitful career.”
