The Elisha Organ Trio consists of Ben Crino on guitar, Milwaukee native Isaiah Jones Jr. on organ and Cali native but Chicago stationed drummer Sid Smith IV, both of whom Ben shares the band leader role with. Elisha’s newest EP entitled “As an Organ Trio” (found exclusively for free on Band Camp) is the precursor to the group’s full length record, which will be released in early 2025. With production help from legendary Jazz guitarist Bobby Broom, this record will reimagine seven standards from the Jazz repertoire with elements of gospel, groove and hip hop, while still allowing an approach from the Jazz lineage to drive the setting. It will also feature an original from Isaiah Jones Jr. titled with the mantra “That is Where I’ll Be”. The Elisha Organ Trio continues to play throughout Chicago at venues such as Andy’s Jazz Club, the Whistler, Fulton Street Collective, and is very excited to share their music and message at Clara, located in the beautiful Wicker Park, Chicago.
